Sensory Memory Game: Recognising and Matching Textures
The sensory memory game invites children to recognise and match surfaces using touch and sight. It includes 28 elements forming 14 pairs, with fabrics, wooden shapes and other materials.
How to begin
Start with just a few visible pairs and let the child explore each surface. Later, turn the pieces over or use the included cotton bag to search for a matching pair using only the hands.
Three ways to play
- Match by sight: compare shape, colour and material.
- Recognise by touch: find two matching surfaces without looking.
- Describe sensations: use words such as soft, rough, smooth or fluffy.
The manufacturer recommends it from age 3. The difficulty can be adjusted by reducing or increasing the number of pairs.
